Amanda Shear

City:

Toronto, Canada

Loves working with:

I love working with entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creatives who are ready to elevate their brand presence with intentional & strategic visuals. My clients are passionate about what they do and want their photos to genuinely reflect their personality and purpose. They value authenticity, professionalism, and connection, their vibe is modern, approachable, and elevated they want photos that look polished but never stiff, and that truly capture their intent. They are often juggling multiple roles in their business and want a collaborative photographer who is also a creative director to help plan their photoshoot for start to finish.

Photoshoot locations:

I shoot in a mix of natural light studios, client offices, cafés, co-working spaces, client homes and outdoor urban or natural settings across the Greater Toronto Area. I also work in curated rented spaces, like Airbnbs and Peerspace. It really depends on my client’s unique brand aesthetic and what works best for their photoshoot.

Photography style / aesthetic:

My style is clean, natural, and modern with an editorial touch. I love using true-to-life colours and tones in my photos, from natural skin tones to authentic lighting that feels effortless and real.

Languages spoken:

English

Vibe check:

Relaxed, encouraging, fun and organized, like spending the day creating something amazing with a friend who just happens to have a camera.

Fun fact / hidden talent:

Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a photo editor for a national Canadian magazine, collaborating with top photographers, stylists and art directors. That experience taught me how to tell a story through imagery and spot what makes a portrait truly connect. Now, I bring that editorial eye and creative direction to every brand shoot I do.

Bruna Rico

City:

Toronto, Canada

Loves working with:

My clients are usually entrepreneurs, self-employers, creatives and artists. I love working with open minded people who need quality content for their business. I also love working with companies that are looking for a modern approach to headshots.

Photoshoot locations:

I have my studio located in Toronto-ON, but I am also open to go wherever my clients need. Sometimes they have their own location or if they need suggestions to places to photograph, I can scout places and give them a better direction.

Photography style / aesthetic:

My style is a sophisticated and modern approach to photography. I edit the colours very close to reality (so your outfits won't change the colour due to my presets!).

Languages spoken:

English, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish (I'm still learning Spanish but can understand and communicate well).

Vibe check:

I'm energetic and calm at the same time. My goal is to make sure my client feels comfortable and have the photos they wanted at the end of the session.

Fun fact / hidden talent:

I am a chemist! Worked for 5 years as a chemist and never went back. I am also a dancer in formation. I started competitive latin dance last year and love it.

Anyone who wants to improve their brand image. Whether you have a product or service, you are the brand.

Standing out from the crowd is what I do best. I like to curate each photo so it speaks for itself.

Photoshoot locations:

I can shoot in studio or any location. Toronto has many great places to work.

Photography style / aesthetic:

Natural. I strive to make people comfortable enough to show their true self. I have had a long career in photography, my fashion photography background has always been the base of my imaging.

Margot Daley

City:

Toronto, Canada

Loves working with:

I work with entrepreneurs and small business owners primarily located around Toronto. The vast majority are women, but I enjoy working with men. My clients are coaches, thought leaders, authors, therapists, pastry chefs, realtors, consultants, veterinarians, and everyone in between.

Photoshoot locations:

I don't own a studio, but Toronto is full of gorgeous, loft studio spaces for rent with numerous styles and backdrops. Most have large loft-style windows but modern, minimal furniture aesthetics that most clients love.

Photography style / aesthetic:

My style is light (but I don't use the word "airy"). I utilize natural light and incorporate window light, supplementing with soft speed light flashes to enhance but not overpower. I'm all about showing off my clients as vibrant, fun, with laughter shots most of the time. My style is focused on bringing out client's natural personality.

Languages spoken:

English

Vibe check:

It's my goal to get every client relaxed and laughing so they can express themselves naturally and vibrantly. I'll make joke prompts that get them imagining they are the best in the world, and we'll shoot for the cover of Inc. Magazine or People Top 10 just to lighten the mood.

Fun fact / hidden talent:

As a former TV director, it was my job to get interview subjects relaxed before the cameras turned on, to disarm them, and to get them to chat with me and forget about the cameras. I still use this skill today.
