Despite having an impressive voiceover career that’s spanned decades with everyone in the UK recognising her voice, Katy enjoys being invisible. This juxtaposition of “hiding in plain sight” was the inspiration for her personal brand strategy.

During our first call to talk about design elements, she mentioned a specific shade of purple that she’s always loved - Mamba. So of course, that was our starting point.

From there, we added in complimentary light greys and navy blues and a mixed serif / sans serif font pairing that struck a balance between timeless classics and trendy modernity.

Next up, content creation. Photographing and filming Katy in the heart of bustling London was a day I’ll never forget. Between the awkwardness of pedestrians unknowingly walking in front of the camera and us laughing about it, we got a ton of diverse content for her website and social media.

Back in my studio, I pulled everything together to create her own little piece of the internet - a website that feels just like her, showcasing her voiceover and acting work first and foremost while also showing her personality.

Last stop: social media. With Katy’s personal brand set in stone it was time to promote her new website on social. Pulling from the design elements, photography, and messaging, we created a social media campaign that felt natural and organic pointing her followers towards her new home on the internet.

It’s a gift to have a personal branding client lean into the vulnerability and trust the branding process. Katy was from start to finish an absolute delight.

Her career continues to thrive and she’s heard by millions of people in the UK everyday while still being able to walk down the street unrecognised.
