CHOOSE YOUR CLIENT HOURS
For the little things.
A few website updates, troubleshooting, a conversation, or a small list you've been saving up.
For when there's a bit more going on.
Multiple updates, larger changes, or time you want available as your website and business continue to evolve.
For when you know you'll need me.
A larger bank of time for substantial updates, ongoing implementation, or multiple rounds of work.
HOW IT WORKS
-

1. BUY YOUR TIME
Choose 1, 5, or 10 Client Hours and pay upfront.
Your Client Hours are valid for six months from the date of purchase and are tracked in 15-minute increments.
-

2. GET EVERYTHING READY
Open our existing shared Dropbox folder and create:
UPDATES (DATE)
Add everything I need to complete the work.
Final copy. Final photos. Final videos. Final galleries. Final everything.
-

3. EMAIL ME YOUR INSTRUCTIONS
Tell me exactly what you want me to do.
What page?
What needs changing?
Exactly where does it go?
Which files should I use?
-

4. I'LL CONFIRM THE DATE
Once I've reviewed everything and confirmed that I have what I need, I'll tell you exactly when I can get to your work.
Most small requests can usually be completed within 1–2 business days, depending on my availability.
-

5. I GET TO WORK
I'll use your Client Hours to complete the work we've discussed.
When we're finished, I'll tell you exactly how much time we used and how much you have remaining.
FILES = DROPBOX
INSTRUCTIONS = EMAIL
That's it. That's the system.
Your files live in our shared Dropbox folder. Your instructions live in one clear email.
Please don't send files through email, Instagram, WeTransfer, text messages, smoke signals, carrier pigeons, or wherever else the internet allows us to put things.
Keep everything in one place so I can spend your time doing the work
instead of looking for the work.
PREPARE YOUR UPDATES
1.Create your Updates Folder
Inside your Magic Folder in Dropbox, create a new subfolder and title it:
UPDATES - DATE
If you have several different updates, organise them with subfolders:
UPDATES - DATE
→ Homepage
→ About Page
→ New Gallery
→ New Photos
Then:
2. Only add final content
Before you send your instructions via email, make sure all of your final content I need is actually inside the UPDATES Subfolder. Content like:
your final copy
your final images titled correctly
your final videos or links to YouTube / Vimeo
the correct versions of your files
If you're still waiting for something, wait. Your work isn't ready yet. I will only look inside your UPDATES subfolder when absolutely everything is in there. Not before.
HOW TO WRITE YOUR EMAIL
Tell me exactly what you want
The easier your instructions are to follow, the faster I can work. For every update, give me:
PAGE: Which page are we working on?
LOCATION: Exactly where on the page?
CHANGE: What exactly do you want me to do?
FILES: Where can I find what I need in Dropbox?
NOTES: Anything else I genuinely need to know?
For example:
PAGE: Portfolio
LOCATION: Between Project 43 and Project 44
CHANGE: Add my new Tuscany project using the same gallery layout as Project 43.
FILES: UPDATES - OCTOBER 7 - Tuscany
NOTES: Use Tuscany-04.jpg as the featured image.
Email your instructions to info@jonathantilley.com
T I M E = M O N E Y
THE MORE ORGANISED YOU ARE,
THE FURTHER YOUR TIME GOES.
You're purchasing my time, not a predetermined list of deliverables.
Client Hours can include time spent:
✔ reviewing your request
✔ reading your instructions that you send via email
✔ looking through and organising your content in Dropbox
✔ figuring out what you mean and emailing your back just to confirm before I begin
✔ meeting on a Zoom call to talk through ideas (yes, you can use your Client Hours for a meeting over Zoom)
✔ making recommendations on the how your updates fit into the structure and strategy of your website’s design
✔ doing the actual design work and implementing your updates on your website
✔ troubleshooting if there’s a speedbump that needs fixing
✔ testing the updates on desktop and mobile for user-friendliness
✔ emailing you about the work, asking you to lok at it, and give me feedback
✔ making revisions on your feedback until we both are happy
If everything is organised and ready, then I can get straight to work.
If you need me to help organise everything, figure out what you want, or decide what should happen next, I'm happy to do that too.
That is also work, and it uses your Client Hours.

FAQs
FAQs
LET'S TALK IT THROUGH
-
Absolutely! In fact, sometimes that's the best place to start.
Maybe your business has evolved and your website needs to catch up. Maybe you've had an idea floating around in your head for months. Or maybe you know something isn't quite right, but you can't put your finger on what it is.
You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.
Purchase one or five Client Hours, then send me an email saying you'd like to meet on Zoom. Include a few dates and times that work for you, along with your time zone, and we'll find something that works for both of us.
We'll talk through your ideas, figure out what makes sense, and put together a plan of action.
And once we have a plan? You'll create your UPDATES folder in our shared Dropbox, organize the content we discussed, and email me when everything is ready for implementation.
Easy peasy.
-
Not necessarily, but a little preparation goes a long way.
Think about what you'd like to accomplish. What's working? What's not? What's changed since we last worked together?
If you have examples, inspiration, or specific pages you'd like to discuss, have them handy.
You don't need a presentation or a perfectly organized document. Just come ready to talk.
And remember, we're using your prepaid Client Hours, so the more focused our conversation, the more time we'll have left for implementation.
-
Of course. That's part of what you're paying me for!
Sometimes you need someone who already knows your brand to help you think through a decision, explore possibilities, or figure out whether an idea is worth pursuing.
We can brainstorm, troubleshoot, evaluate options, or map out what comes next.
If our conversation reveals that you need something much bigger, like a complete brand repositioning or an entirely new website, I'll recommend the appropriate service rather than trying to squeeze a major project into Client Hours.
-
That's perfectly fine too.
You might need a second opinion, help making a decision, or someone to look at what you've already created.
You don't have to give me a to-do list to justify booking my time.
Sometimes a good conversation is exactly what you need.
-
That depends on what we need to discuss.
We can schedule a focused 30-minute conversation or reserve a full hour if there's more to unpack.
Meeting time is deducted from your prepaid Client Hours in 15-minute increments.
For example, if you purchase one hour and we spend 30 minutes talking, you'll have 30 minutes remaining to use toward implementation or future work.
2. BEYOND YOUR WEBSITE
-
Absolutely. And if we've already built your personal brand and website together, why on earth would we start from scratch for social media?
Think about everything we've already created: your color palette, font pairings, photography, messaging, and the overall look and feel of your personal brand.
All of that can be carried over into your social media content.
We can create custom Instagram carousels, post templates, story graphics, promotional content, and more, using the same visual identity and messaging we developed for your website.
The result? Your website and social media finally look and sound like they belong to the same person.
Someone discovers you on Instagram, visits your website, and immediately recognizes your brand. Same personality. Same visual language. Same professional impression.
And because we're working with a brand we've already developed together, we're not reinventing the wheel. We're putting all that hard work to use somewhere else.
We can start with a Zoom meeting to discuss what kind of content you need, then use your Client Hours to design a collection of custom, on-brand assets you can actually use.
You already invested in building your personal brand. Let's make sure it shows up everywhere.
-
Quite a lot, actually!
We can take the content and visual identity from your website and turn them into:
Instagram carousels and individual posts
Instagram Reels
Top 3 pinned posts on your Instagram Feed
Branded Instagram Stories
Reusable social media templates
Service and offer promotions
Testimonials and client reviews
Educational graphics using your existing website copy
Personal introductions and About Me content
Launch announcements and promotional campaigns
And because everything is custom-designed for your brand, you won't end up with a collection of generic templates that look nothing like your website.
You can start with a few graphics or use a larger block of Client Hours to build an entire collection.
Your website shouldn't be the only place where your personal brand looks fantastic.
-
Because your website needed to come first!
Your website is the foundation of your personal brand. It's where we established your messaging, visual identity, photography, personality, and how you want to present yourself to the world.
We weren't just making a pretty website. We were building the system that everything else could grow from.
And now that we've done all that work, we don't have to figure out what your social media should look and sound like. We already know.
We've essentially reverse-engineered the entire process. Instead of trying to make your website match a collection of social media posts, we built your personal brand first. Now we can take everything we've created and adapt it for social media.
Same colors. Same fonts. Same photography. Same messaging. Same personality.
Different platform. Different format. One cohesive personal brand.
So no, we didn't forget about your social media. We just did things in the right order.
Your website was step one. Now let's put your personal brand to work everywhere else.
3. HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED?
-
Here's what we could tackle in one hour:
Update text, headlines, or calls to action
Swap out photos or refresh existing galleries
Add testimonials, reviews, or recent work
Update your services, pricing, or contact information
Make small layout or design adjustments
Fix formatting, spacing, or mobile display issues
Add or update buttons and links
Troubleshoot a website issue
Create a few custom, on-brand social media graphics
Repurpose existing website copy into social media content
Meet on Zoom to brainstorm ideas or make decisions
Review a page and recommend improvements
Tackle several small updates you've been putting off
Not sure what fits into an hour? Start here. We'll see how far we get, and if you need more time, you can always purchase additional Client Hours.
These are examples, not guaranteed deliverables. Actual time depends on the complexity of the work and how prepared your content is. All work is tracked in 15-minute increments.
-
Here's what we could tackle in five hours:
Refresh multiple pages with updated copy, photography, and layouts
Add new sections to showcase services, projects, or offerings
Create or expand portfolio galleries and case studies
Design a new landing page using your existing brand identity
Reorganize website content to improve navigation and user experience
Refresh your homepage to reflect how your business has evolved
Create a collection of custom, on-brand social media graphics
Turn your website content into Instagram carousels, posts, and Stories
Design reusable social media templates using your brand colors and fonts
Update multiple service pages, calls to action, and pricing details
Refine your website's mobile layouts and visual consistency
Meet on Zoom to brainstorm ideas, develop a plan, and implement the changes
Combine several smaller projects into one organized round of updates
Keep unused hours available for future updates as your business evolves
Not sure you'll use all five hours at once? You don't have to! We can tackle your immediate priorities now and save the remaining time for whenever you need me again within the next six months.
These are examples, not guaranteed deliverables. Actual time depends on the complexity of the work and how prepared your content is. All work is tracked in 15-minute increments. Client Hours expire six months after purchase.
-
Here's what we could tackle in ten hours:
Give your existing website a substantial refresh without starting from scratch
Redesign multiple pages to reflect the next chapter of your business
Create new landing pages for services, offers, or campaigns
Expand your portfolio with new projects, galleries, and case studies
Reorganize your website's structure, navigation, and content
Develop and implement new website sections for evolving services
Refresh your website's messaging, photography, typography, and visual details
Create a coordinated collection of branded social media content
Transform your website copy into Instagram carousels, educational posts, and promotional graphics
Design a library of reusable social media templates that match your website
Create branded graphics for launches, announcements, and marketing campaigns
Develop new content ideas and map out how to use them across your website and social media
Meet on Zoom for brainstorming, strategic planning, and creative direction
Combine consulting, design, and implementation across several rounds of work
Tackle your immediate priorities while keeping hours available for future updates
Have a bigger vision but don't need everything done at once? Perfect. We can prioritize what matters now, work through your updates in stages, and use your remaining hours as new ideas and opportunities come along over the next six months.
These are examples, not guaranteed deliverables. Actual time depends on the complexity of the work and how prepared your content is. All work is tracked in 15-minute increments. Client Hours expire six months after purchase.
-
Think of it like renovating a house.
You might think replacing the kitchen cabinets will take an afternoon. Then you discover the walls aren't straight, the plumbing needs adjusting, and suddenly there's a little more work involved than you anticipated.
Websites can be similar.
Something that looks like a quick change might require additional formatting, troubleshooting, testing, or reorganizing behind the scenes.
Here's how I'd approach it:
1 HOUR: $100
Perfect if you have a few small updates, want to troubleshoot something, or need to talk through an idea.
If you're not sure how much time you'll need, start here.
5 HOURS: $500
Ideal if you have several updates, a larger project, or want to meet first and then have me implement the changes.
And don't worry if we don't use all five hours immediately. Your remaining time stays available for six months from the purchase date.
10 HOURS: $1,000
For clients with substantial updates, multiple rounds of work, or a longer list of things they'd like to tackle together.
All three options are billed at the same $100 hourly rate.
Not sure? Start small. We can always add more time.
-
No problem!
There's a one-hour minimum purchase, so you can absolutely use your hour for that one change.
However, if you know you'll have a few other updates coming, I'd recommend saving them up and sending everything together.
That way, we can make the most of your purchased time instead of repeatedly opening your website for individual changes.
-
I can usually give you a rough idea once I understand what you want to accomplish.
But Client Hours are time-based, not fixed-price packages.
Sometimes a change takes less time than expected. Sometimes we uncover something that requires a little extra attention.
I'll keep track of the time we use, and if we need more than you've purchased, we'll discuss that before moving forward.
-
They stay on your account until they expire.
For example, if you purchase five hours and we use two hours on your first round of updates, you'll have three hours remaining.
You can use those three hours whenever you need me again, provided it's within six months of your original purchase.
-
I'll let you know before we go beyond your prepaid balance.
You can purchase another hour, five hours, or ten hours, and we'll pick up where we left off.
No surprise invoices.
4. GETTING EVERYTHING READY
-
We're going back to our good old Magic Folder!
Open the shared Dropbox folder we used during your original project and create a new subfolder called:
UPDATES (DATE)
Upload everything I need into that folder: final copy, photographs, videos, graphics, galleries, and any other relevant materials.
If you're updating several parts of your website, create additional subfolders to keep everything organised.
Files go in Dropbox. Instructions go in email.
That's the system.
-
Very specific, please!
For each update, tell me which page we're working on, exactly where the change should happen, what you'd like me to do, and which files I should use.
For example:
PAGE: Portfolio
LOCATION: Between Project 43 and Project 44
CHANGE: Add my new Tuscany gallery using the same layout as the other portfolio projects.
FILES: UPDATES — OCTOBER 8 → Tuscany Gallery
NOTES: Use Tuscany-04.jpg as the featured image.
Perfect. I know exactly what to do.
-
Then there's no rush to send it over.
If you're still waiting for photographs, finalising your copy, or deciding which images to use, finish those things first.
Once everything is ready, send me your instructions and I'll confirm when I can schedule the work.
If you need help making those decisions, we can use your Client Hours for a Zoom meeting before you prepare everything.
-
Please don't.
I know it's tempting to send something the moment you think of it, but files scattered across email threads, Instagram DMs, and file-transfer services take additional time to find, organise, and interpret.
And that time comes out of your Client Hours.
I want to spend your time doing the work, not looking for the work.
-
I'm happy to help.
Maybe you have dozens of photographs and aren't sure which ones to use. Maybe your copy needs reorganising. Or perhaps you have several ideas that need to be turned into a clear plan.
We can work through all of that together.
Just remember that organising, reviewing, planning, and making decisions are all part of the work, so they'll be deducted from your Client Hours.
5. SCHEDULING AND WORKING TOGETHER
-
Most smaller requests can usually be completed within one or two business days once everything is ready.
However, I might be in the middle of a Website in a Week, working with another client, traveling, or taking some well-deserved time off.
Once I've reviewed your request, I'll confirm when I can begin and give you a clear expected completion date.
Purchasing Client Hours doesn't automatically reserve immediate time in my schedule.
-
We'll schedule it together by email.
Send me a few dates and times that work for you, including your time zone, and I'll check my availability.
This keeps things flexible, especially when we're working across different countries and time zones.
-
It happens!
Maybe you see the new gallery and decide you'd prefer a different layout. Or perhaps you realise the original photograph worked better after all.
We can absolutely make adjustments.
Just remember that additional revisions and changes use your Client Hours, even if we're revisiting something I've already completed.
-
You can always share new ideas, but once we've agreed on a particular round of updates, I'll work from those approved instructions.
If something new comes up, we can add it to the next round rather than constantly changing the work already underway.
This helps me stay focused, avoid mistakes, and make the most of your time.
-
Let me know your deadline when you first get in touch.
If I can accommodate it, I will.
If I'm fully booked or unavailable, I'll tell you so you can plan accordingly.
Client Hours don't include guaranteed emergency or same-day support.
6. THE NITTY GRITTY
-
Client Hours are exclusively for existing clients who have already completed a project with me.
Because we've worked together before, I already understand your website, your brand, and how everything fits together. I know the structure and strategy of your website already.
That makes jumping back in much easier.
-
$100 per hour, prepaid.
You can purchase one, five, or ten hours.
There are no discounts for larger blocks, and the minimum purchase is one hour.
-
I track work in 15-minute increments.
That includes reviewing materials, organising content, consulting, Zoom meetings, planning, implementation, troubleshooting, testing, project-related communication, and revisions.
After each round of work, I'll tell you how much time we've used and how much you have remaining.
-
Six months from the date of purchase.
Each purchase has its own expiration date.
Purchasing additional hours does not extend the expiration date of any previously purchased hours.
-
No. Client Hours are valid for six months, so I recommend purchasing an amount you realistically expect to use within that period.
-
Client Hours are intended for additional work on an existing project, not a complete website build or rebuild.
If you need a new website, we'll discuss Website in a Week, Done in a Day, or another appropriate service.
-
No. Client Hours are purchased for your business and can't be transferred to another person or business.
-
Email me!
If you're unsure whether Client Hours are right for what you need, I'm happy to clarify how the service works before you purchase.
And if you want to discuss the actual ideas, design decisions, or work itself, that's exactly what Client Hours are for.
You already have the website.
Now let's make it work for where you are today.
Client Hours give you the flexibility to make updates, explore new ideas, and keep everything moving forward… one hour at a time.
